Peggy - POP Lay Counsellor

Peggy is a Lay Counsellor for the Pregnancy Outreach Program & has been with the program for 16 years. Peggy has a Diploma in Food Services Administration. She has also completed the 18 Hour Breast Feeding Course & as a Child Passenger Educator 11 (Technician), is qualified to do car seat inspections. Peggy enjoys working with the Clients on a one to one basis as well as in a group setting. Preparing meals for the weekly Drop In groups is another area Peggy is passionate about.
Peggy has participated in many workshops & training courses to become a better support to expecting & new mothers of all ages. Peggy’s most rewarding part of her job is supporting women become the best Mother possible.

Penny - IDP Consultant

Penny is currently the Infant Development Program Consultant. Penny has her Early Childhood Diploma, Infant Development Program Certificate and has taken many child development workshops and training courses to learn strategies to support children of all abilities and their families. She participates in a few community committees such as the FASD Community Advisory Committee and the Youth Action Committee.  She is passionate about inclusion for everyone and her favorite piece of her work is teaching the Infant Massage Program.

Supported Child Development - SCD

Sandy - SCD Coordinator

Sandy has worked at the Child Development Centre for 25 years.  She is currently the Supported Child Development Coordinator and participates in the CDC intake process for new referrals.  Sandy has her Early Childhood, Special Needs Education and has taken many child development workshops and training courses to learn strategies to help children of all abilities be included and to succeed in their learning.  She also has presented several workshops in partnership with other service providers.  Sandy participates in several community committees such as the Parent Child Recourse Team - who is currently helping fundraise to build an accessible playground in Quesnel; Success By 6 who promotes knowledge of child development, service collaboration and presents our community's 3 year old screening; and Literacy Quesnel, promoting literacy for all ages.  Sandy believes that play is the key for all learning.
